I NEED DRIVERS!
Well… we
try very hard to load all necessary drivers for your laptop prior to shipping,
but sometimes we make mistakes and your patience is truly appreciated.
Below you will find links to some of the
various drivers you might need. If you don't see the link or don't know what to

2.
THE COMPUTER FROZE!
This
problem doesn't happen often, and we really have no way of knowing
what causes it. It's possible that the software running caused it or
that the computer just had enough for now. Either way, the answer is
to "reboot". You
can reboot the machine by pressing "Ctrl" +
"Alt" + "Delete" together (at the same time) or
by turning off the Laptop. After the machine is off - feel free to
turn it back on and enjoy. If
the problem persists, the software being used is probably the
problem. You might think of not using that software, or upgrading
the laptops RAM to better accommodate it. Always
check the software
specs. before trying to run it on any computer.

3. IT
WON'T TURN ON!
You
got me!!! All of our machines leave the warehouse completely
tested and in perfect working order.
It is conceivable that during shipping the laptop got banged around
and might require servicing. We try very hard to make sure that the
laptop you receive meets your approval and will refund the rental
cost (not shipping) or send a replacement at no cost to you if it
doesn't.Please
call us at 1.718.778.1467 if you are unhappy or require a
replacement. Thank
you for renting from us, and we appreciate your understanding.

4. WHERE IS MY MODEM?
Most
of the PC laptops we rent have a "PCMCIA" modem.
That means, it is a card that slides into a slot on the side of
the laptop. Depending on your laptop, it would either be on the
left or right side of the machine. A few PC laptops do however
have "internal" modems, and would allow you to plug a
regular phone cable (RJ-11) directly into the laptop. All of the
Apple laptops we rent have "internal" modems.
To
locate the internal modem, look all around the laptop sides
(including the back flip down panels) for a regular phone jack. Yeh
that's it! (Make
sure not to mistake the Network Jack for the Phone Jack)
To
locate the PCMCIA modem, look at the left or right side of the
laptop for a slot with a card in it. You may need to attach a
special "cable" that is designed to fit into that specific
modem. Or, you might be able to plug a regular phone cable (RJ-11)
into it.
If
you need to attach a special cable, we most probably included it
with your order. We do make mistakes, and would be happy to send one
to you if you can't find yours. Otherwise, it is pretty simple, as
it will only fit in one of the slots on the modem (the other slot
might be for a network cable)
If
your modem allows you to directly plug a regular phone line into it,
then it would have a push button, that would eject a small phone
jack for you to insert a regular line into.

5. I
CAN'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET!
Then
how did you get to this site now!!!! LOL

6. THE POINTING STICK MOUSE SEEMS TO BE
STUCK!
This
problem occurs when you try to swap the CD drive and the Floppy
drive while the machine is on.
If that's the case, try rebooting the laptop (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) or
by just turning it off.
Firmly
insert the drive you intend on using and turn the laptop back on.
